West Middle School
April 2022 - June 2022

6th Grade English Long-Term Substitute

Was guided by and collaborate with teacher on maternity leave to teach 6th grade English. Developed, modified, and taught summary unit through reading The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan and final joint project with Social Studies classes on Greek Gods and Goddesses. Managed 15-20 students with assistance of block teachers and aides, built relationships with students and parents, maintained classroom environment and routine.

Substitute Teaching

Worked with students in Binghamton City Schools as classroom substitute for PreK-12. Managed classroom and followed teacher-directed lesson plans and class schedule. Coordinated with other building faculty and staff to facilitate instruction. Additionally, followed COVID-19 protocols and supervised student health and safety in the classroom.

Modified Girls' Basketball Coach

Worked with 7th and 8th grade student athletes coaching girls' basketball. Facilitated learning and team development for players with varying experience and skills. Communicated with parents, administrators, and health specialists on team logistics, academics, and COVID protocols. Developed practice plans and game-time coaching methods aimed at growing skills, gameplay, and social-emotional for team and individual players.

Summer 2017 - 2021

Safety Town Program Coordinator

Organized and facilitated summer educational program for 10-20 children, ages 4-7. Scheduled community guest speakers, coordinated online registration, communicated with parents and guardians, developed safety curriculum and lesson plans, and instructed students on safety topics. Supervised two teen employees and 1-3 middle school volunteers.

St. Johnsbury CatCH Program
August 2020 - April 2021

Instructor & Tutor (Virtual)

Collaborated with the Saint Johnsbury Schools CatCH Program to administer after-school and at-home enrichment programs for elementary students. Developed and taught virtual “Art with Nature” after-school program. Cultivated relationships with individual students grades 2-5 and assisted with independent work and study skills through the "Study Buddy" program, serving students virtually on remote learning days.

St. James Elementary School
Spring 2021

Garden Club Coordinator

Directed 20-25 students grades PreK-6 in cultivating community vegetable garden at my alma mater. Educated students on the “care of our common home” rooted in Environmental Justice. Coordinate with St. James school and parish to integrate environmental and spiritual education. Instructed students in basic urban farming practices to produce food for St. James food pantry.
